Lee Begay is a Navajo silversmith who has been excelling in the art of Tufa casting. His work is often bold featuring the Yei bi chi (Navajo Holy Deity) figure. He uses only the finest stones available. Lee is a friend and colleague that I have come to know, as we both attend l to the same Native American art shows (Eiteljorg Museum, Heard Museum, Santa Fe Indian Market). His work is very detailed and quite fascinating.
